Handcrafted Hardwood Gates

Our handcrafted hardwood gates are beautiful pieces of Joinery Craftsmanship made in our Kent-based workshop using traditional carpentry & joinery methods, with minimal screw or fixings. We build our gates in either Seasoned or Dried Oak, Western Red Cedar treated with natural oils to enhance the grain, or spray-painted Accoya if you prefer a painted finish. All of our gates are built to order by our talented joinery team, bespoke to your entrance to the nearest millimetre.

Contemporary Aluminium Gates

An Aluminium Gate is a beautiful enhancement for your home, radiating a sleek & contemporary appearance together with great privacy & security benefits. Our wide range of aluminium gates boast great value, and can be manufactured in any RAL colour of your choice, including ‘woodgrain’ finishes if you prefer. Aluminium gates are very lightweight, corrosion-resistant and fuss-free, making them a great, low-maintenance option for your home. All of our aluminium gates are built to order, bespoke to your entrance to the nearest millimetre.

Stylish Iron Gates

As standard, our iron gates are manufactured to order, bespoke to your entrance, then hot-dip galvanised to provide corrosion protection for 10 years, then you can choose to have them powder coated in a colour of your choice, or simply spray painted, either option create a stunning long-lasting finish.

FAQs

How much do automated gates cost?

The cost of automated gates varies from project to project, depending on what material, style of gate and type of automation system you choose. Our Hardwood Gates are at the top end of the price range, followed by iron and aluminium gates.

Hardwood automated gates start from £9,000 + vat

Iron & Aluminium Automated gates start from £7,500 + vat

The type of automation system required will depend on the site location. Most driveways will have swing gates, which open inwards or in some cases, outwards. We offer two different types of swing system: underground or above ground.

Swing Gates
Underground

Our underground automation systems use motors which sit flush with your driveway surface, then the motor arm connects onto the bottom foot of the gate to swing the gates open and closed. These motors are virtually hidden and therefore very discreet and quiet.

Above-Ground

Our above ground swing gate automation system use motor arms (also known as RAMS) which connect onto the main body of the gates and swing open and closed. Above-ground motors are a more cost effective option in comparison to underground motors, as there is less installation time involved.

Sliding Gates

If you have a sloping driveway which means swing gates are not possible, then we would recommend a sliding gate. Our sliding gates use above ground track rails and motors to slide the gate to one side. This means ample space to one side of the gate is required, this is usually along a boundary wall/hedge, for example.

The opening speed will depend on the type of system installed, but underground motors can open a gate in roughly 6 seconds!

Our installations generally take between 1-5 days, depending on the complexity of the system.

Gate manufacturing lead times can range anywhere from 8-12 weeks.

Yes! All of the gates you see on our website can be installed as manually opening gates too.
